With the unique facade cladding on Hotel Aurora, the building has a characteristic expression that brings to mind the beautiful, Greenlandic northern lights also called Aurora, after which the hotel is named.

Third.space was given the task of designing and furnishing 32 rooms, as well as a common area with reception and dining area. Hotel Aurora wanted to bring in the Greenlandic nature and colors - and to get a very functional interior design solution so that the space can be utilized optimally. In addition, there was a focus on economics and logistics to Greenland.

Atmosphere Meets Function

With our hotel design, we wanted to create a good experience that appeals to a broad target group. The choice of material in interior design with different materials gives the rooms character - and has the northern lights as a consistent color theme throughout the hotel. The decor is warm and inviting with functional and flexible furnishings in both the common area/welcome area and hotel rooms.

The choice of tables and chairs means that the decor can be quickly adapted depending on whether you are a larger or smaller group traveling together.

Interior design inspired by nature

The impressive, colourful facade cladding has been an exciting component in designing the interior of the hotel. The interior design has therefore been able to incorporate vibrant colours as part of the hotel's interior design solutions and visual identity.

On the project, our architect has been involved in making the design, functions, and floor plan come together. The colors from the northern lights are brought into the decor in different ways. Among other things in a unique carpet with an exciting play of colors. The beautiful glass pendulums in different colors go again in the common area and in the hallway and with their beautiful play of colors lead the mind to the magical northern lights.

Simple and welcoming hotel interior design

The hotel rooms are designed to offer a calm and inviting atmosphere through carefully selected materials and well-thought-out room solutions.

The room is simple but has all the necessary features for travellers. Built-in storage space, compact work areas and integrated lighting support guest comfort without compromising on aesthetics. Soft tones, oak details and the colour palette used in the common areas create a consistent interior design identity throughout the hotel.
