On the coast of Lolland you will find the finest, newly built seaside hotel with a main building and 124 hotel rooms in 72 houses. Hages Badehotel is unique as it is built on a pile foundation with great consideration for the surrounding nature and local wildlife.
The hotel's design has been created in harmony with nature. The houses with green sedum roofs and slate-clad walls are connected by wooden decks that meander through the area of ponds and plants.
The location in the coastal area close to the Fehmarn Belt tunnel, Lalandia Rødby and Knuthenborg Safari Park is ideal for enjoying the attractions and beautiful nature of Lolland-Falster. The hotel attracts sustainability-minded tourists from both Denmark and Germany, among others.
In 2023, Hages Badehotel was also included in The Times list of "The 25 Best New Beach Hotels in Europe".
The hotel's vision is to create a scenic experience for their guests with room for relaxation with nature right outside the door. Our task was to bring the Scandinavian style into the hotel interior with spaces for peace and relaxation.
The hotel apartments had to be designed with a small kitchen and plenty of storage for guests staying longer in the area, so that their accommodation can be as convenient for them as possible.
The main building is a natural focal point with plenty of space for guests to gather in the cosy sofas, restaurant, game room or meeting room. Here, the space is particularly impressive with its high ceilings and skylights. This is supported by our tall, customised bookcases in the reception and restaurant. The shelving is built with hidden acoustic panels that help to create a pleasant sound and good acoustics in the large rooms.
With sofas in different fabrics, colours and designs, different zones are created in the common area of the main building. Here you can relax, play games, work or enjoy a drink at the snack bar. The custom-made reception desk takes a back seat to the cosy zones in the main building, inviting guests to use the main building as a place to stay and not just in the hotel apartments.
In the bright breakfast restaurant, flexible interior design solutions have been chosen, whether it is used for breakfast in conjunction with the terrace - or for events such as corporate events or weddings/parties. Built into the bookcase are upholstered benches that match the colour palette and modern Scandinavian style.
The hotel chain Go Hotels owns several hotels on Zealand. These include Go Hotel City and Go Hotel Saga. Hages Badehotel is the 5th in the series where Third.space has been responsible for the hotel interior design.
Hages Badehotel's concept and exterior framework was designed by architectural firm Miami ark and landscape architect BOGL. The hotel is now ready to welcome Danish and international guests. We are grateful for the opportunity to be responsible for the interior design solution.
