Royal Oak Golf
Amidst the scenic landscape of Jels, Royal Oak offers guests a premium golf experience surrounded by nature. With both clubhouse and guest cabins on site, the resort combines hospitality with high-end design — tailored to support owners who want to create a cohesive and welcoming guest experience.
Scenic golf course and club located in Jels, Southern Denmark. In the beautiful, thatched clubhouse, guests can dine at the restaurant and hold events in the adjoining venue overlooking the golf courses. The golf courses at Royal Oak are built according to international standards and have a unique, visual expression.
The clubhouse comprises ten newly built golf cottages with modern Nordic-style interiors. The cottages enable Royal Oak to offer a complete experience for different types of guests, including golf, restaurant visits, and accommodation. The layout of the cottages is suitable for friends, couples, and larger groups attending courses, conferences, and parties held in the banquet hall.
Third.space was given the task of designing and furnishing the golf club in multiple phases. Starting with the restaurant and party venue. The design should match the building's special architecture - and the decor should support the surrounding nature and the view of the club's fairway and greens.
In phase 2, custom-made lockers were installed in the clubhouse changing rooms, while phase 3 was dedicated to creating the interiors of ten stylish golf cabins.
The layout and architecture of the building was exciting to work with and the choice fell easily on beautiful, natural materials - and green shades from the golf courses and the surrounding nature.
The decor has become classic with darker wood and strong fabrics.
In the restaurant's "garden room" with panoramic views, 2 columns are decorated by the artist Gitte Peters. These are included in the interior design solution, where several of the colors are repeated in furniture and interiors.
Many small tables and lounge areas have been chosen so that guests can sit down according to the atmosphere they are in. There is room to end the day with a beer in the specially built bar or enjoy a relaxing lunch in the bright garden room in comfortable chairs.
In the interior design, you can see pictures of the golf course, hunting trophies, a bronze ship bell, and other things to showcase the golf club’s history and give a very personal touch to the interior.
Adjacent is the party room - also overlooking the golf course. Here we have i.a. added long, luxurious curtains that in addition to being able to shield from the sun give an exclusive look to the room.
In the 3th phases, 10 cabins with spa were designed. Here, guests for both the golf course, conferences, and parties have the opportunity for accommodation.
The cabins feature two double bedrooms and a living room where guests have all the amenities they need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The design is bright and Nordic, with natural oak, grey tones, and elegant furniture.
"It has been a pleasure working with Third.space, especially Maja and Vilma. We wanted our venue to become more "up to date", and indeed they have! Maja has managed to combine the old with the new in our restaurant and clubhouse, so Royal Oak now presents itself with a great design.
When our new spa houses had to be decorated, there was no doubt - We aksed Third.space to take care of that as well. Again, we are extremely pleased with the collaboration and look forward to seeing the finished result soon."
