The Harbour front is a landmark office building on Odense Harbour. Originally designed by Henning Larsen. Third.space was asked to modernise the interiors, creating a contemporary, exclusive office domicile – all with the goal of attracting future tenants.
The Harbour front combines distinctive architecture with modern Nordic interiors, offering flexible office spaces for companies of all sizes. The building is designed so that businesses can lease smaller units or larger sections while enjoying shared facilities such as meeting rooms, canteen and foyer.
Third.space developed a full interior design concept for the shared spaces, sourced and installed furniture. On the third floor, we have set up an office landscape so that potential tenants can see how their leased space can be furnished and utilised.
The result is a consistent and professional environment where tenants can bennefit from a space designed to foster collaboration, reflection and efficiency.

In the foyer, visitors are welcomed by the specially designed reception desk, created by Third.space's own in-house architect – a central element both visually and functionally. The reception desk is shaped like a curved installation and functions as a room within a room.
Vertical slats and integrated felt panels improve acoustics, while the design ensures an elegant expression from every angle. The desk is not only a welcoming workstation but also integrates built-in seating on the reverse side, turning the reception into a multifunctional hub. This makes it both a statement piece and a practical solution that elevates the arrival experience for tenants and visitors.

The foyer at Havnefronten has been designed as a welcoming and flexible space where tenants and visitors immediately feel at ease. Existing plants were preserved to strengthen the biophilic experience, improving both air quality and atmosphere. Combined with carefully selected Bolia lounge furniture and rugs, the result is an inviting zone that encourages informal meetings, reflection or a quiet break during the day – a natural gathering point in the heart of the building.
Acoustics play an important role in the large foyer with open floors. Special attention was given to creating a pleasant sound environment for employees so that they would not be disturbed by noise from the foyer.
We preserved the original acoustic artworks on the floor decks created by Danish architects and artists Mathilde Aggebo and Julie Henriksen – installations that combine functionality with artistic expression.
It was important for us to contribute to an even better sound environment. That is why slats and felt were built into the reception desk to break up the sound in the room more – and in addition, many soft lounge areas and carpets were chosen, which also absorb sound.

To match the building’s ambition, we delivered a complete solution of furniture: Office chairs, desks, shelving systems, high tables and lounge setups for the 3rd floor. Every piece was chosen for durability, comfort and functionality in a professional setting.
The third floor is intended to showcase how companies can furnish their offices and demonstrate the possibilities for layout and utilisation of the space.
In the canteen and commonareas, sofas, lamps and chairs from Bolia were selected for their combination of Scandinavian design and proven strength in high-use environments. The result is a space where employees can relax, meet or socialise in surroundings that maintain their aesthetic appeal over time.

An important element of the project was integrating signage and wayfinding into the interior concept. Clear orientation is crucial in a multi-tenant property, where visitors and employees must easily navigate offices, meeting rooms and shared facilities.
As part of our dedication to ‘One Stop Shopping’, Third.space was in charge of the wayfinding system that supports the architectural lines of the building and enhances the overall experience. This not only improves usability but also strengthens the building’s professional identity, underlining The Harbour front as a high-quality office domicile.

By redesigning and furnishing the shared spaces – from foyer and reception to meeting rooms and canteen – Third.space has created a modern and functional framework that benefits all tenants. The result is a professional environment where companies gain access to high-quality common areas without needing to invest in their own fit-out.
For tenants, this means moving into a property where atmosphere, acoustics and usability are already taken care of: an inspiring reception that sets the tone, inviting lounge zones for informal meetings, and shared facilities that foster collaboration, well-being and efficiency in everyday work.
On the third floor, a fully furnished office landscape showcases how the spaces at The Harbour front can be utilised. Potential tenants are able to experience first-hand how a complete workplace may look, with carefully selected furniture that balances design, comfort and durability.
For HL Invest, the project adds long-term value by positioning The Harbour front as one of Odense’s most attractive and future-proof office addresses – with shared interiors that strengthen the building’s identity and make the property stand out in a competitive market.
