At Selected Car Group in Silkeborg, Third.space has created a tactile and luxurious environment that elevates the brand experience – from the showroom and office spaces to premium conference facilities. Every detail is designed to complement the world’s most iconic sports and luxury cars.
Selected Car Group, Silkeborg offers leasing of sports cars and cars in the premium and luxury segment. In addition to leasing cars, you'll find a collection of some of the world's most unique collector cars as part of Selected Car Investment. Here, private individuals and professionals can invest in cars from luxury car manufacturers such as Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Jaguar, Lamborghini, BMW and Pagani.
The interior design of Selected Car Group is part of the overall project at Kejlstrupvej 87, Silkeborg, which also includes Match Padel and Institute Thomey.
Selected Car Group wanted an exclusive interior design that fit the brand concept and the meetings/events that take place in the building. The cars should be the central focal point, but the furniture should serve a function and support the company's identity.
The interior of the car showroom is designed in an exclusive style throughout to match the brand and its audience. The design concept from Third.space includes emphasising the exclusivity by, for example, giving the furniture plenty of free space in the areas. Luxurious, loose rugs create zones - and the materials throughout the design focus on a tactile experience with several exciting textures such as textiles, felt, cork, moss, and exclusive lighting.
Throughout the building, different lounge areas have been created with comfortable sofas and lounge chairs. Many fantastic pieces of furniture and lamps from Bolia have been chosen for the design concept.
The large-dimensioned sofas are chosen to fit the big rooms, provide plenty of seating for larger events in the house, and provide a good visual balance against the cars that the furniture is placed in relation to. Organic shapes on furniture and lamps soften the hard materials of the building.
The colours are calm, Nordic, and add character to the different areas, matching the dark wooden floor, concrete pillars, and allowing the beautifully polished cars to stand out.
Third.space also provided the office interior design with the delivery of desks, storage furniture, lounge area and meeting rooms. The storage furniture is great for providing a little privacy in the open-plan office, while still being able to store many items that are easily accessible from the employee's seating. There is also created a space for relaxation with comfortable sofas from Bolia.
The conference facilities are designed to accommodate both internal and external users.
Special mention should be made of the conference room with adjoining kitchen and lounge area. The large room is designed to accommodate up to 100 participants. Adjacent to the room is a lounge area with a kitchen where participants can stay during breaks or for meals. The atmosphere here is more homely and informal.
As the building is used for many types of meetings and events with Danish and foreign participants, they can also retreat to one of the 4 adjoining office rooms.
If there are meetings throughout the day, meeting participants have the option of using the office rooms to retreat for a break or to prepare for meetings.
As a nice detail, there is a wooden panel on the wall with a TV, mirror, and coat hooks. The paneling matches the desk, custom-built open storage furniture, bedside tables, and headboard. The rooms are painted in a beautiful dark colour that invites calm and relaxation. Above the headboard, there are various prints with motifs from Silkeborg.
The interior design of the boardroom focuses on an intimate atmosphere, good acoustics, and comfort during meetings. Dark wood was chosen for the interior, and the room takes on a special character with the light on the large print on one wall, the indirect light in the beautiful ceiling, and the brass One A pendants. The customised bookcase contains unique treasures that are exciting to study.
Decorative and effective acoustic solutions with felt, cork and moss walls are placed throughout the interior to provide great sound in the rooms and ensure comfortable acoustics. Good acoustics are important for customer comfort, especially in large rooms with many hard surfaces.
The external architect on the project has incorporated many great acoustic solutions, such as the ceiling panels with lamellas. We have continued to work with this in the form of wall decorations, rich fabric furniture, carpets that reduce noise from footsteps and speech, among other things.
The terrace creates an outdoor space that extends the showroom and allows for even greater use of the facilities. When events are held, guests can step outside and enjoy the outdoor furniture.
