Third.space is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group, one of Denmark’s largest and most successful business groups. The Group employs more than 41,000 people worldwide and owns companies across furniture, interior design, retail, restaurants, and hospitality. Best known for founding JYSK in 1979, the portfolio today also includes ILVA, Bolia, Sofacompany, and Actona Group, alongside investments in real estate, hotels, and equities.
The Group is owned by the Brunsborg family, descendants of entrepreneur Lars Larsen, and continues to be guided by the core values of Tradesmanship, Responsibility, and Growth. These principles ensure a long-term perspective in every part of the business, from product development and supply chains to sustainability and partnerships.
For our customers, this connection provides financial strength, a strong network of suppliers, and decades of industry knowledge. It allows us to combine creativity with competitive pricing and ensures that we can manage both bespoke solutions and large-scale projects with confidence.
As part of Lars Larsen Group, Third.space is connected to a strong family of interior and retail brands that operate worldwide. The best-known company is JYSK, with more than 3,300 stores across 48 countries. ILVA, Bolia, Sofacompany, and SENG also form part of the Group, each bringing their own expertise within design, furniture production, and international retail. Together, these companies reach millions of customers every day and represent decades of experience in creating functional, stylish interiors.
For our clients, this wide network is a clear advantage. We gain access to products, market insights, and design knowledge that strengthen our ability to meet different requirements for aesthetics, functionality, and price.
Our sister companies provide valuable support in sourcing and adapting solutions for specific project needs. At the same time, our role at Third.space is to bring these resources together with tailored design concepts, project management, and execution—ensuring that each project reflects the unique brand and operational needs of our clients.
Being part of Lars Larsen Group gives Third.space access to a wide selection of modern, off-the-shelf products developed by our sister companies. These collections span different styles, functions, and price levels—making it easier to select solutions that fit both the concept and the budget of each project.
Many of these products can be adjusted to align with specific design requirements. Fabrics, metal finishes, and wood details can often be customized, allowing the products to match the atmosphere and branding of a hotel, hostel, or student housing project. This flexibility ensures that even standard products can feel unique and tailored to the space.
Many products are also developed with the contract market in mind. High-durability textiles, robust construction, and practical design make them particularly suited for high-traffic environments, where both aesthetics and long-term performance are equally important.
Within Lars Larsen Group, clear and science-based climate goals have been set to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Agreement. The Group has committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aiming to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50.4% by FY2032 from a FY2022 baseline. In addition, by FY2029, 73.2% of suppliers—measured by emissions—must establish their own science-based reduction targets.
At Third.space, we focus on offering solutions with long-term durability and quality, emphasizing robust materials and design choices that lower the need for frequent replacements. Our approach supports clients seeking both well-designed interiors and operational resilience.
All communication is based on verified data and group-wide reporting. This ensures that our sustainability messaging complies with the upcoming EU Empowering Consumers Directive (effective September 2026), which requires environmental claims to be specific, verifiable, and transparent.
With projects delivered in more than 20 countries, Third.space has built a strong international presence in the hospitality and housing sectors. Our portfolio includes hotels, hostels, student housing, and holiday resorts across Europe, as well as projects as far away as Miami in the United States.
While our reach is global, our approach is local whenever possible. We collaborate with local partners and craftsmen where it makes sense for the project, drawing on their knowledge and expertise to add extra value. This ensures that installation and finishing are carried out in line with regional requirements. Such collaboration not only supports local economies but also provides our clients with reliable execution and faster response times.
Our experience with hotel and hostel chains across Europe has also given us deep insight into the operational needs of large-scale clients. We know that each property is part of something greater, and that consistency across locations, efficient rollout processes, and the ability to adapt concepts to different markets—while maintaining a clear brand identity—are essential to success.
At Third.space, we combine the creativity and flexibility of a dedicated interior design partner with the strength and stability of belonging to Lars Larsen Group. This unique position allows us to deliver solutions that are stylish, durable, and cost-efficient—supported by decades of experience, strong values, and a wide network of trusted partners.
Whether it is hospitality interior design, FF&E sourcing, or complete B2B furniture solutions, our focus is always on creating spaces where people feel welcome and comfortable. From hotels and hostels to student housing and resorts, we help our clients bring their visions to life.
If you are looking for a partner who can deliver interiors with both global reach and local dedication, we are ready to make your project part of something greater.
